By restricting the number of weddings we hold to just one per weekend, we ensure our undivided attention is given to each ceremony, sparing no effort to make your day unforgettable at our exclusive use venue. Whether you are planning a conference, board meeting or a small seminar, Allington Manor is a flexible venue that offers a unique peaceful environment. Our Delegate Package is inclusive of room hire, three light refreshment servings (tea, coffee and biscuits), lunch (a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and a selection of freshly baked cakes), mints, iced water and cordials, notepads, pens and Wifi.

Granary Cottage

A cosy 18th century former granary, furnished to a high standard, with original beams and wood burner. All heating, linen and fuel included, alongside a generous welcome breakfast pack. The cottage benefits from its own private patio, with the use of the owner’s extensive garden, including a three acre organic wildflower meadow and woodland area. The Granary is set just off the village green in the centre of a quiet, rural hamlet and makes this property a comfortable retreat for exploring undiscovered Lincolnshire. An award winning CAMRA pub with restaurant is one mile away.

Grantham Guildhall Arts Centre

The Guildhall Arts Centre is a community-centred venue that aims to offer its customers an innovative, stimulating and quality arts experience. The venue hosts a variety of events including films, amateur dramatics and predominantly professional touring theatre productions. The Guildhall also has a range of rooms and a splendid Ballroom, for hire for exhibitions, weddings, parties and meetings. It is run by Cultural Services of South Kesteven District Council.

JandJ Alpacas

Come and meet our herd of nearly 100 beautiful alpacas – wander round the family-run farm and watch them in their paddocks. New Alpaca Centre opening in December 2018 – sit in our coffee shop with a coffee and cake looking out over the alpaca paddocks. Our Alpaca shop sells our luxurious knitwear, scarves, cowls, socks, hats and gloves created from our own herd. Enjoy Alpaca Experiences, Craft workshops, Alpaca Adoptions, Husbandry & Care courses and alpacas for sale.

Belvoir Castle

Belvoir Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland and the family have lived there in an unbroken line for almost a thousand years. Its turrets and towers rise over the Vale of Belvoir like an illustration in a fairytale. Due to the Castle being home to the Rutland Family we are only open on selected days throughout the year (see our website for details). Belvoir has many rooms to view, with history interwoven into the very fabric of the building. Our Tea Room in the castle offers a selection of sandwiches, home-made cakes & scones. Wonderful themed gardens delight our visitors. We hold renowned annual festivals and events within the grounds and you can shop in delight at The Engine Yard retail centre, located opposite our car park. DK Carriage Horses

Looking for something different to do as a team building event, a reward or small group activity? Why not join us for a horse-drawn carriage ride around the beautiful Vale of Belvoir – glorious rolling countryside, quiet lanes, pretty villages and stunning Belvoir Castle high up on the escarpment, this is the perfect way to experience a more traditional mode of transport. We’re an experienced, professional and friendly family business and can help you plan a Have a Go group activity, themed day or surprise activity. We tailor make your event with demonstrations, hands-on experience to carriage driving or carriage rides for small groups, as well as meeting our handsome, kind horses. We’re happy to discuss all the options with you.

St John the Baptist Church

Explore the history of this Grade 1 church dating from the 11th Century and one of the oldest churches in Lincolnshire – and discover its link with the family of Isaac Newton. See the font in which Isaac was baptised in January 1642 and the sundial he carved with a penknife aged 9. Learn about plans to restore the Newton Family Chapel and install a Newton Heritage Learning Centre, focussed on science and faith in Sir Isaac Newton’s life and work.

Belton House

Sitting elegantly in formal gardens with views across pleasure grounds and an ancient deer-park, Belton is often cited as being the perfect example of an English country-house estate. Although built on a modest scale, it has a fine collection of porcelain and silver, a world-renowned library and architectural finesse that reflects the continued wealth and cultured tastes of its former owners, the Brownlow family. In more recent times, Belton has become a popular destination for families in search of outdoor fun, with seasonal trails and the National Trust’s largest outdoor adventure playground.

Wagtail Country Park

Wagtail Country Park is a touring caravan and motorhome country park situated in the peaceful tranquil Lincolnshire countryside with breathtaking views and amazing sunsets. An abundance of wildlife can be seen on the park and we have been awarded a David Bellamy Gold Award. There are pleasant walks in the area to enjoy with lots of local attractions and country pubs. The park is very dog friendly. We have a well stocked fishing lake for our keen touring fishermen to fish. Two luxury utility blocks with pot wash areas are provided. Wifi is also available. Late arrivals are catered for, if pre-booked.

Millside Wigwams

Our six luxury en suite Wigwam cabins are the perfect year-round getaway. Explore the outdoors at its best. Enjoy open air breakfasts and BBQs looking out over our sheep and cattle grazing nearby. Take a circular walk or cycle ride on quiet paths and farm tracks and make a splash at the stepping stones over the river, or relax in our games room. See lambing at Easter. Try beekeeping. Fly fish on the Witham that flows by the farm. Belton House is less that 5 minutes drive, making Millside Wigwams a fun family place to stay in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside.

Grantham Civic Society

Grantham Civic Society’s motto is ‘Preserve the good in the old and encourage the good in the new’.
We provide a heritage service installing Blue Plaques and information boards in Grantham. We also take guided walks for visitors and hold talks and lectures, all by our volunteers. We also publish books about the town.
