Why not join us for a horse-drawn carriage ride around the beautiful Vale of Belvoir - glorious rolling countryside, quiet lanes, pretty villages and stunning Belvoir Castle high up on the escarpment, this is the perfect way to experience a more traditional mode of transport. We’re an experienced, professional and friendly family business and can help you plan a Have a Go group activity, themed day or surprise activity. We tailor make your event with demonstrations, hands-on experience to carriage driving or carriage rides for small groups, as well as meeting our handsome, kind horses. We’re happy to discuss all the options with you.

Easton Holiday Cottages & Apartments

Visit and stay in the holiday cottages or loft apartments on the Easton estate. At the heart of the estate lies Easton Walled Gardens and all guests can visit the gardens when it is closed to the public, for an evening or morning walk. Visit the estate pub The Cholmeley Arms or walk round the quiet stone villages. Two holiday cottages have been decorated to the highest standard with big bathrooms. The loft apartments are beautiful and suitable for shorter stays such as weddings, workshops or corporate visits. They include kitchenettes and very comfortable beds. All accommodation is dog friendly and comes highly recommended by previous guests.

The Willoughby Memorial Trust Art Gallery

A late 17th Century Grammar School converted into an art gallery and library. The Gallery holds a series of exhibitions from early Spring to November, culminating in the annual open art competition exhibition that shows the work of young people with amateur and professional artists. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 5pm during exhibitions – and the Library in the old school room of this architecturally significant building is open by appointment or on request.

Thorns Farm offer ‘the ideal home from home’. Our 7 self-contained Bed & Breakfast apartments have a lot to offer to anyone visiting or working in Grantham. Breakfast is included in the price, but our units also offer self catering facilities. Each apartment has its own kitchen with hob, microwave, toaster, fridge – and a small dining area, modern en-suite shower room and seating area with TV/DVD. Wifi available and ample parking. Belvoir Castle

Belvoir Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland and the family have lived there in an unbroken line for almost a thousand years. Its turrets and towers rise over the Vale of Belvoir like an illustration in a fairytale. Due to the Castle being home to the Rutland Family we are only open on selected days throughout the year (see our website for details). Belvoir has many rooms to view, with history interwoven into the very fabric of the building. Our Tea Room in the castle offers a selection of sandwiches, home-made cakes & scones. Wonderful themed gardens delight our visitors. We hold renowned annual festivals and events within the grounds and you can shop in delight at The Engine Yard retail centre, located opposite our car park. Belvoir Castle has something to delight all ages and a warm welcome awaits…

Easton Walled Gardens

450 years ago, Easton Walled Gardens was owned by the Cholmeley family and enclosed by a stone wall. It still is today. Come and see one of the East Midland’s greatest garden restorations and discover why President F.D. Roosevelt described it as ‘A Dream of Nirvana’. Explore the history and romance of this very English 12 acre garden, eat delicious cake and wander amongst the flowers and wildflowers. The gardens are famous for sweet peas, snowdrops, wildflowers and real gardening. For group visits – talks and tours are available. There is beautiful accommodation for visitors wishing to make an overnight stay.

St John the Baptist Church

Explore the history of this Grade 1 church dating from the 11th Century and one of the oldest churches in Lincolnshire – and discover its link with the family of Isaac Newton. See the font in which Isaac was baptised in January 1642 and the sundial he carved with a penknife aged 9. Learn about plans to restore the Newton Family Chapel and install a Newton Heritage Learning Centre, focussed on science and faith in Sir Isaac Newton’s life and work.

Wagtail Country Park

Wagtail Country Park is a touring caravan and motorhome country park situated in the peaceful tranquil Lincolnshire countryside with breathtaking views and amazing sunsets. An abundance of wildlife can be seen on the park and we have been awarded a David Bellamy Gold Award. There are pleasant walks in the area to enjoy with lots of local attractions and country pubs. The park is very dog friendly. We have a well stocked fishing lake for our keen touring fishermen to fish. Two luxury utility blocks with pot wash areas are provided. Wifi is also available. Late arrivals are catered for, if pre-booked.

The Eden Wine Bar

The Eden Wine Bar, Restaurant & Coffee House offers an elegant dining experience and an idyllic place to relax. We boast a variety of menus from lunch favourites and dinner menus, as well as an exciting cicchetti menu. From our relaxing bar to our peaceful beer garden, we here at the Eden aim to offer a calming place to unwind after a hard day’s work and are committed to providing a good service and great quality food. Granary Cottage

A cosy 18th century former granary, furnished to a high standard, with original beams and wood burner. All heating, linen and fuel included, alongside a generous welcome breakfast pack. The cottage benefits from its own private patio, with the use of the owner’s extensive garden, including a three acre organic wildflower meadow and woodland area. The Granary is set just off the village green in the centre of a quiet, rural hamlet and makes this property a comfortable retreat for exploring undiscovered Lincolnshire. An award winning CAMRA pub with restaurant is one mile away.

Ancaster Leisure Activity Centre

Ancaster Leisure is a family run business, first established in November 1991. It’s now the largest multi activity site in Lincolnshire!

The Ancaster site itself has developed into a huge multi-activity indoor and outdoor pursuits and activity venue; complimented by the acquisition of another fantastic site near Grantham, in partnership with Belton Woods Hotel at Belton. Both sites are open to the public – and all year round!

Choose from a terrific array of activities, including Karting, Quad Biking, Paintball, 10 pin bowling, Nerf, Archery, Air pistols, Laser Tag and Airsoft – plus much more. We also have an on-site restaurant. We cater for individuals, parties and corporate events and run school holiday Kids’ Clubs.

Grantham Museum

For a modest Lincolnshire town, Grantham packs quite a punch with its prodigal sons and daughters: both the 17th century scientist Isaac Newton and late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. At our volunteer-run museum we cherish the town’s heritage with displays on these famous former inhabitants and our proud aviation heritage as well as exploring all the stories from Grantham and surrounding areas. Open all year on Thurs to Saturday 10am-4pm.

ChristChurch Grantham

ChristChurch is a very large, Italianate Grade II listed building, situated in the centre of Grantham. The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, as it was formerly known, was built in 1840. The excellent acoustics at ChristChurch, together with the original Foster and Andrew’s pipe organ is in demand by organ scholars as a practice and performance instrument. Many music events are held here, recently the sanctuary hosted a concert by the cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason (who played at the Royal wedding in 2018) with an audience of 500. The Chapel was also attended by Margaret Thatcher (nee Roberts) throughout her youth.
