SUMMARY:Reconnecting Grantham Family Cycle Ride
DESCRIPTION:Our Woods and Parkland rides are supported by qualified British Cycling Ride Leaders who will meet you in Wyndham Park\, Grantham and guide you at a safe and leisurely pace through Queen Elizabeth Park\, through Sunningdale and onto the new cycle/footpath up to The Woodland Trust’s Londonthorpe Woods. After a short break to introduce this beautiful woodland amenity\, we will make our way along 5 Gates Lane and on to the Belton Estate. We will be granted special entry to the estate where we will stop for refreshments including a complimentary hot drink* from Belton Estate NT. \nOnce rested\, we will continue through the private parkland until we reach the Lion Gates. It is here that we join Belton Lane for a short stretch of road riding until we reach the shared path back to Wyndham park. If you still have space\, you can have a coffee with new found friends in the Wyndham Park Tea Rooms. \nDetails of others and other local rides can be found on the Let’s Ride website at https://www.letsride.co.uk \n* Regular size drinks only\, excluding luxury hot chocolates.

DESCRIPTION:Led by experienced ride leaders\, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. Book a series of dates in July and August on the website. Cycle from Wyndham Park\, through Queen Elizabeth Park\, Londonthorpe Woods and on to Belton Estate. \nQualified British Cycling Ride Leaders will meet you in Wyndham Park and guide you at a safe and leisurely pace through Queen Elizabeth Park\, through Sunningdale and onto the new cycle/footpath up to Londonthorpe Woods. After a short break to introduce this beautiful woodland amenity\, you will make your way along 5 Gates Lane and on to the Belton Estate. \nHere you will stop for refreshments and be treated to a short talk about the estate. Once rested\, you will continue through the parkland and retrace your path back to Wyndham Park. \nYour leaders are fully trained and qualified through British Cycling\, and above all friendly. They will take all reasonable steps to ensure your\, and the public’s\, safety especially on road sections and we never leave anyone behind. \nSome of the route is on slightly bumpy gravel so thin road tyres are not ideal. \nPlease arrive on time to allow time for introductions and bike safety checks. \nVisit the Let’s Ride page to book your slot and search ‘Grantham’ to see the Reconnecting Grantham rides pop up.

DESCRIPTION:Summer of Play is returning to Belton\, bigger and better than ever before! Summer of play is sponsored by Starling Bank. \nDiscover Belton’s Avenue of Adventure this summer on the East Lawn and set off on a journey to explore some of the countries the Brownlow’s visited. Enjoy playful and interactive activities\, from designing your own Chinese Wallpaper and competing in a hobby-horse race\, to dressing up and strutting your stuff on a catwalk. \nOffering a calm space\, head inside our under-the-sea inspired sensory tent in the garden to enjoy some sensory play. \nWe’re bringing the seaside to the Estate Yard\, with ‘Belton-on-Sea’\, next to the ice-cream parlour! After building sandcastles\, head to the work zone to build miniature versions of the mansion with ‘Building Belton’. \nThat’s not all – Inspire+ will be returning on Fridays throughout the school holidays to run sport sessions on the oval. There will also be a programme of crafts\, yoga\, Belton Boogie\, and pop-up sessions held by our knowledgeable garden\, ranger\, and house teams. \nWe’ll be releasing a calendar in July to help you see what’s running when! SUMMARY:July dates: Spotlight on Conservation at Belton House
DESCRIPTION:The popular Spotlight Sessions at Belton have returned! Spend time with our mansion team to see the conservation work they do while the mansion is closed to free flow visitors. Book July dates on the website from a series of times on the 16th\, 17th\, 23rd\, 24th\, 30th and 31st of July. \nWe’ll open a changing selection of rooms for this experience throughout the year. The team are currently working in the Chinese and Queen’s Bedroom on the First Floor. \nSpaces are limited\, but you can book your free slot on the website (Admission applies). Some tickets are kept aside for walk-ins. Please note that rooms may be darker than usual to protect light sensitive objects. \nThe mansion is open for free flow visits Thursday – Monday*\, 11am – 4pm (last admission 3.30pm). On these days you can explore the upper ground floor and first floor at your own pace and discover a collection rich in global history. You can also pick up our short guide to Belton House\, with information on all the rooms on display.
