Situated just off the A1 and on the main east coast railway line, South Kesteven is the ideal location for a family day trip or a stress-free weekend away. Surrounded by 365 square miles of countryside, it provides a perfect base for a UK holiday stay too, giving you time to explore the historic market towns of Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping.

1. Belton House and Belton Park

A country estate with stunning gardens, a historic deer park and an amazing outdoor adventure playground, which is the largest in Lincolnshire. 2. Burghley House

3. The Guildhall Arts Centre

Located in Grantham, the Guildhall Arts Centre is a community-centred venue offering innovative arts. Throughout the school holidays activities include a Lego Workshop, a Puppet Workshop and a Family Fun Day on 3rd August.

4. Stamford Treasure Hunt Trail

Are you looking for something to do with family and friends or seeking a fun day out with the kids in Stamford? Then explore the town with this self-guided Treasure Hunt themed Trail. Ages 6 – 106, children not required!

5. The Yard in Stamford

An indoor soft play centre and café ideal for the little ones.

6. Easton Walled Gardens

Situated on the Easton Estate these beautiful gardens are the perfect place to spend the day, for garden lovers and horticultural enthusiasts alike. Perfect for picnic days.

7. Bourne CiCLE Festival

A cycling festival offering something for everyone to enjoy. Dates: Saturday, 31 August 2019 – Sunday, 1 September 2019

8. Bourne Wood & Wyndham Park

From Bourne Wood, a quiet ancient woodland with a picnic area, to Wyndham Park with its outdoor paddling pool, play areas and model boat lake, South Kesteven offers everything to keep the kids active.

9. Independent Retailers

Enjoy a little retail therapy with older children. For boutique shops and arts and crafts, you can’t beat shopping in Stamford and Grantham. Bourne and The Deepings host an array of independent shops with award-winning eateries too.

10. Manor Stables Craft Centre

Based in Fulbeck, the Manor Stables Craft Centre has intriguing craft shopping and a wonderful café. Featuring weaving, spinning, saddlery, jewellery, a blacksmith and clock maker.
