Join us for an engaging and creative cyanotype workshop led by the talented artist Sam Atkins. This workshop is designed for individuals of all skill levels, whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience with alternative photographic processes.
You’ll discover the history of cyanotypes and photograms, experiment with UV exposure, and create your own stunning Prussian blue prints using objects, plants and textures.
During the session, you’ll also learn the chemistry behind cyanotype, mix your own solution, coat paper, and make original prints.
You’ll leave with:
• your own cyanotype chemistry kit
• sponge brush + coated papers
• Perspex printing sheet
• your finished prints
• Sun Printer Certificate
No experience needed – Just curiosity and a love of analogue magic.
All necessary materials will be provided, including sensitised paper, various objects for exposure, and tools for developing prints. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own items to experiment with, such as leaves, flowers or lace to create truly unique works of art.
This cyanotype workshop is part of the Future of the Past project delivered by Paradigm Arts in partnership with Bourne Museum, Wake House and Soundlincs.
Future of the Past is funded through the National Lottery Heritage Fund
