South Kesteven’s Art Centres

November 11, 2025

South Kesteven District Council operates two arts centres. One in Grantham, called the Guildhall Arts Centre and in the other in Stamford, Stamford Arts Centre. The two arts centres provide our community with excellent resources, in the forms of art, workshops, poetry, dance, music, events and plays.

A highlight each year are the famous Christmas pantos!

Stamford Arts Centre, 27 St Mary’s St, Stamford PE9 2DL.

Stamford Arts Centre is an 18th-century building which houses a 166-seat theatre and cinema, plus ballroom, gallery and coffee-shop. The centre is looked after by wonderful team, and they support the community through various events and groups. There is always something happening at the Stamford Arts Centre so make sure you pop in when your next in town, or check out their website to catch a movie or show: https://www.stamfordartscentre.com/

This year at Christmas time, the Stamford Arts Centre in-house pantomime returns with a brand-new adventure, Alice in Wonderland.

Kayleigh – Alice in Wonderland

Join Alice as she journeys down the rabbit hole and into the heart of Wonderland, meeting all kinds of curious characters along the way. However, she’ll need to be careful to avoid the Queen of Hearts if she wants to keep a-head! Will she ever manage to get home? Will the White Rabbit ever be on time? Will the Hatter ever actually sell a hat?

The show is packed with colourful costumes, hilarious jokes, loads of local nods & references and stunning scenery designed by local artist Karen Neale.
