1. Guided Tours of Belton Parklands
If a quiet day out is what you're looking for then Belton House is just what you're looking for. Set in a beautiful deer park and formal gardens, this gorgeous house was built by the Brownlow family in the Stuart period. Both the house and its world-renowned library are open to the public and sees thousands of tourists a year. Alongside the guided tours, there's also plenty for children with the biggest playground in the National Trust portfolio. In terms of events, Belton has several upcoming guided walks around its beautiful parklands with it's extremely knowledgeable guides. These events repeat throughout spring and summer, with upcoming ones taking place on the 22nd and 29th March.

2. Grantham Market, Grantham
Grantham market is held every Saturday from 8:30am to 4pm and features a wide variety of stalls. Every second Saturday of the month also sees a farmer's market visit Grantham, selling everything from fruit, veg and meat to clothes and technology. There's sure to be something for everyone! The market can be found in the Westgate and Marketplace areas of the town.

3. Mother’s Day, Crown inspired afternoon tea, Belvoir Castle
Castles are some of the UK's most visited attractions, and there are none finer than Belvoir Castle. Sat on a hill overlooking the county, it has a certain fairy tale quality to it. There's plenty to see and do at the castle which is often host to weddings and corporate events. There's also a restaurant, which offers a fantastic afternoon tea, and is hosting a Mother's Day afternoon tea inspired by the Crown Netflix series, which often uses Belvoir Castle as a stand in for Windsor.

4. Gravity Fields
If you're looking for something unique to do this year then look no further than the Gravity Fields festival. It's a brilliant combination of science, arts, heritage, music, drama and outdoor spectacular in and around Grantham to celebrate famous physicist Isaac Newton’s legacy. Newton was a local of the area, growing up in Woolsthorpe and going to school at the King's School. The festival takes place in September 2020 and is a really spectacular celebration of one of the area's most important historical figures.
