Bring your little ones (under 5s) to our Belton Acorns sessions! Enjoy learning about the beauty of Belton by engaging in crafts, play, song, and outdoor fun. There will be a varied programme of activities to get involved with. Sessions will be based around the seasons and highlight elements of Belton that shine. Sessions will take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. There will be two sessions each day, running at 10am and 11.15am. Duration: 45 minutes. No pre-booking required. You can sign up for the sessions when you arrive at Visitor Reception on the day.

Created by award-winning, internationally acclaimed light trail producers and firmly positioned within the UKās seasonal calendar, Christmas at Belton has everything you need for an unforgettable time with friends and family, including a fairground, and, of course, magical glimpses of Father Christmas along the way. Among the new installation highlights for 2025 is āOn the Tideā by Squidsoup, a water-based floating floral lightwork created from points of light floating in strands, positioned by the natural movement of the water. Other features which visitors can enjoy this year include an immersive area filled with lasers, a fire garden and a festive themed animated story projected onto Belton Houseās facade. Guests can look forward to the iconic tunnel of lights, larger-than-life installations, and the ever-popular appearances by Father Christmas. The trail is designed to engage all the senses, with seasonal music accompanying the stunning visual displays. Belton's parkland has been home to a herd of fallow deer for over 300 years. Discover how the ranger team manage the herd, and join them for a guided walk through the park during the rutting season. Belton's herd of fallow deer have spent the long, hot summer looking after their fawns and growing some impressive sets of antlers. Autumn is show-time for the master bucks, who will be setting up rutting stands in favourite spots and trying to attract as many does as possible. Join the Ranger Team on this guided walk through the parkland and discover how they care for the herd, while keeping an eye out for any signs of the autumn rut. Don't forget to bring your camera! Due to the nature of this walk, we ask that there are no dogs as we will enter the deer sanctuary.
Discover more about the conservation work carried out by the Belton House team to keep the collection in the best condition possible. Youāll explore a selection of rooms, discovering risks to the collection and how they are dealt with. All accompanied by a British Sign Language interpreter to ensure that more people can engage with the collection.
Using ropes and harnesses, ascend into the canopy of one of Belton Estateās largest trees with The Great Big Tree Climbing Company, and enjoy an exhilarating adventure at new heights. During your climb, you will learn how to safely reach the top of the giant tree and take in the views of the parkland. You can hang out in the canopy or venture further out onto the branches if you're feeling brave, before returning safely to the ground. This activity is suitable for ages 6 to 100, and each session is run for up to 8 people, creating a unique and intimate experience.
Explore Belton through the lens of your camera and join our photography expert for the day. Professional photographer Jon Pear will be sharing his expert top-tips to help you improve your photography. Dust off your cameras and explore the wonderful gardens and parkland at Belton. These workshops are suitable for beginner photographers. Maximum group size of 8 on each workshop. This workshop includes a 2 hour walk around the parkland and/or gardens taking photographs, and will be taking place within the Belton offices and Fishing Lodge in the gardens.
After a successful debut in 2024, Belton's Community Festival is back! Weāre opening up access to art, heritage, and education once again, with a whole host of activities, talks and demonstrations running throughout the weekend. From dance and art, to music and demonstrations, a wide range of local groups and organisations are coming to Belton to showcase the amazing work they do as part of our local community. Discover more about whatās happening on your doorstep and feel inspired. Grab a treat from one of the food vendors while you explore the variety of stalls on the day. Support the local community and visit the arts and crafts stalls, with a range of handcrafted, locally produced items on offer. Complete with a bursting event schedule on the stage to keep you entertained and an array of activities over the weekend, including a Big Belton Butterfly Count sponsored by Lincolnshire County Council, thereās something for everyone. The festival will run on the 13 and 14 Sep, from 10am to 5pm, and free entry to the entire estate, including the mansion and gardens, is being offered across both days. Summer of Play is back at Belton, sponsored by Starling Bank, and this time we're going on a Big Dig with an archaeology and exploration theme! You'll be able to dig for treasures in sand pits, become an Ancient Egyptian with the mummification station and hieroglyphics code games, play giant versions of your favourite travel games and much more! There are family yoga sessions and bushcraft workshops too as well as object handling, junior gardening sessions and special deer walks.
From the youngest toddlers to the most mature seniors, and those with little painting experience to amateur and professional artists - come and paint the gardens at Belton!

Bellmount Tower will be open for you to explore and discover more about its history. Enjoy fantastic views across the countryside - make sure to bring your camera! The Tower will be open for 2 hours, visit the website for more information, and you're welcome to drop in to wander. You don't need to book. Parking is free of charge at Bellmount Tower. No dogs allowed.
