Winter at Wyndham Park Visitor Centre

December 1, 2025

Nestled in the heart of the historic market town, Grantham, Wyndham Park has been enjoyed and cherished for years, having received its 12th Green Flag Award last year.

Memorial at Wyndham Park Visitor Centre

Wyndham Park was created in 1924 as the Towns’ War Memorial before being renamed in honour of Lt. Hon. William Reginald Wyndham, 1st Lifeguards, who was killed in action in 1914. His mother, Lady Leconfield, officially opened the park and her son’s legacy still lives on. The existing Memorial Shelter houses a memorial to all Grantham military personnel killed in World War One (WWI).

The park has undergone vast transformation since then and now boasts family-friendly play areas and an urban gym, a sensory garden, an outdoor water splash-pad and the Wyndham Park Visitor Centre.
