Join our archaeological dig at Fulbeck Manor in Lincolnshire for a three-day delve into the past. The Digging Market Garden excavation will search for mementoes from Urquhart’s stay and the engineering workshops in the nearby stables – now Fulbeck Craft Workshops – and is part of South Kesteven District Council’s developing Airborne Forces heritage trail. Feel free to drop in to see military volunteers searching for wartime mementoes on the sites of two Nissen huts in the grounds of the historic Manor every day between 10am - 4pm. On Saturday a Village Hall exhibition between 10am - 4pm will display finds from the excavation, with exhibits of military memorabilia and WW2 re-enactors. All events are free to attend.
